Export everything to a JSON file, or restore from one.

Transfer detection is a best-effort heuristic (matching amounts within 7 days across your own accounts). Always review flagged items β€” e-transfers to other people should stay as real expenses.

Each source can be switched on/off and re-priced per month below. A change sticks for that month and every month after, until you change it again.

πŸ“Š This Month Overview

Spending Breakdown by Group β€”

Grouped by category group rather than all 80+ subcategories, so it stays readable.

Categories & Budgets β€”

Budgets carry forward month to month until you edit them again. Green = within budget, orange = near limit, red = over. Groups with no budget or spending start collapsed β€” click to expand.

βž• Add Rule

Rules are checked before the built-in guesses whenever you import a statement or type a new transaction description, and they persist here permanently until you edit or delete them β€” same as everything else, they carry forward every time you reopen this file.

πŸ”„ Apply to Existing Transactions

New or edited rules only affect new transactions automatically. Click below to re-run all current rules against everything already recorded (expense and income transactions only β€” transfers are untouched).

πŸ“₯ Import Bank Statement (CSV or XLSX)

Works with a generic CSV (Date, Description, Amount, Type, Account, Category) or a Tangerine-style export (Date, Transaction, Name, Memo, Amount). Categories are guessed from the merchant name and remembered for next time. Likely bill payments and internal transfers between your own accounts are auto-detected and kept out of your expense totals β€” review them under the Transfer category on the Transactions tab.

⚠️ About PDF bank statements

This tool intentionally does not parse PDF statements (Envision, Simplii, etc.) β€” reliably reading arbitrary bank PDF layouts inside a single offline HTML file isn't practical or trustworthy. Export CSV/XLSX where your bank offers it, or add those transactions manually on the Transactions tab.
